Digital & technology discovery week

We’re an innovation and technology company at heart. We harness the power of digital to revolutionize the way we deliver heat, light and mobility to the world. 

 

Open to undergraduates from any STEM subject, you’ll hear from digital & technology leaders and explore an area of your choice. During this paid programme you’ll discover the culture of bp and our diverse range of roles in this space. 

 

You will also have the opportunity to hear from our graduates about their roles and participate in workshops to help you improve your skills. 

 

Participation offers a fast-track to technical interview for any of our internship opportunities the following year (eligibility criteria will apply). 

 

You can apply for one of our Discovery Weeks, but not all. So please think carefully about which programme suits you best before applying.

 

This programme is open to those due to graduate in 2024.

Female bp discovery programme

Open to first year students (or 2nd year if studying a four-year course)

Our paid, award-winning, widening participation programme promotes and supports the recruitment and development of students from ethnically diverse backgrounds. 


You'll spend time networking and hearing from a variety of leaders from across our business. You'll also discover the culture of bp, our diverse range of roles and explore an area of your choice.

Discovery days

Open to first and second years

Our discovery days will take place during the summer of 2022 for students across all disciplines. Our one-day experience will provide an insight into different parts of bp, helping you to find the area that interests you the most. You’ll learn about how you can be part of our progress towards net zero and take your own ambitions forward too. You will also get an opportunity to hear from graduates and interns about their roles and receive top tips from our Early Careers team.

Shadow days

Job shadowing is an excellent way to learn about day-to-day work life in a career field of your choice. If you are a first or second year student you can apply to pair up with one of our interns or graduates for one day. 

 

You will gain insight into what they do as well as meet other interns, graduates and employees. It is a great way to see what life at bp is really like. This is a great first step to starting a career with us.
