Why should I set up a BP Plus account?
There are so many reasons why Australian businesses have chosen to have a BP Plus account with BP. Features such as up to 51 days interest-free credit, GST substantiated statements (so you and your drivers don't need to keep your fuel purchase receipts) and easier administration. What sort of discount will I receive?
All BP Plus customers benefit from up to 51 days interest free credit with a BP Plus account and also have access to negotiated savings across our Extended Merchant network. Some major accounts are eligible for a discount based on the volume of fuel purchased per annum, however many businesses choose to become BP Plus account holders without a discount, simply because of all the great benefits.
Where can I use my BP Plus card?
The BP Plus card can be used at any of our 1,400 BP Service Stations nationally. It is also accepted at our extended merchant network, which includes Beaurepaires, Bridgestone, Ultra Tune, Bob Jane T-Marts, Goodyear Tyre and Auto Centres, and Windscreens O'Brien. These suppliers offer exclusive specials to BP Plus cardholders, so you'll always have access to great deals.
Can I place controls on my account?
Yes. Purchase restrictions can be placed on each BP Plus card to limit transactions to only those types of products required by your fleet. For example, you can choose to restrict some cards to specific fuel purchases only, such as regular unleaded, while others may be used for fuel, oil and servicing.
What security features are available?
Card security is becoming increasingly important for most businesses. Our preference is for our customers to have PIN security, however we also offer signature security for those customers that do not wish to use PINs. Additional security features such as odometer readings and authorisation numbers can also be applied.
How do I apply for a BP Plus account?
What information do I need to apply online?
You'll need to have the following information handy: • Your ABN and Business details (including key contact person and the usual address details/phone numbers) • Estimate of annual fuel spend (type of fuel used, litres and/or dollar spend) • Direct Debit information and approval • Details of company directors (including names, home addresses, phone numbers, date of birth)
The application form asks me to select my business type. Which one should I choose?
The business type depends on how your business has been set up. There are six business types listed in the drop down menu and each includes a short description. Scroll through the options and choose the description that describes your organisation. Please note: BP will not set up any accounts in the name of a trust, please enter the name of the trustee(s) of the trust in the legal entity name and ensure that the ABN used has been set up in the trading name, not the trust.
Why do I have to provide a signed copy via mail?
As part of BP's global Credit Policy, an original signed copy of the application form is required before any application can be approved.
How long does the application process take?
Once a completed and signed original application is received via mail, the general turnaround time is between 5 and 10 business days.
How do I get access to BP Plus online?
For new accounts, a BP Plus Online username and password will be emailed to you within 48 hours of your application being approved. For existing account holders, you can request a username and password by selecting Obtain a BP Plus Online logon located in the green login panel.
My BP Plus card has been lost/stolen. What should I do?
If your BP Plus card has been lost or stolen, you must notify BP immediately. The easiest way to do this is to log into BP Plus Online and change the card status to "Lost" or "Stolen". 1. Click on "Change Card Status" under the "Quick Links" listing on the right hand side of the "Home" menu. 2. Click on the Card Number of the card that is required to have its status changed 3. Then click "Cancel / Change Status" 4. In the "New Card Status" field, select either "Lost" or "Stolen" from the drop down box of available options 5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page. This will ensure that the update is made. You can also call our Customer Service department. They can be contacted on 1300 760 039, between 8am and 6pm AEST Monday to Friday.
I have forgotten my PIN, what do I do?
If you have forgotten the PIN number for your BP Plus Card, you can request a new PIN number through BP Plus Online. 1. Click on "Card List" under the "Quick Links" listing on the right hand side of the "Home" menu. 2. Click on the Card Number of the card that you require a new PIN number for. 3. Click "Reissue PIN" 4. You will now see the details of the card, including the card delivery address (where the new PIN number will be sent). If you are happy with these details, click "Confirm" and a new PIN number will be issued. You should receive a new PIN number in the mail within 3 business days. Each BP Plus customer PIN is unique. Due to privacy restrictions, information about individual customer PIN number is not available to any BP employee. Unfortunately BP Customer Service will not be able to advise you of your PIN number. They can however arrange for a new PIN number to be issued if you require.
Can I change my PIN online?
BP Plus allows customers to either change their PIN numbers through BP Plus Online, or through the EFTPOS terminal at a BP Site. To change a cards PIN number on BP Plus Online 1. Click on "Card List" under the "Quick Links" listing on the right hand side of the "Home" menu. 2. Click on the Card Number of the card you wish to change the PIN number for 3. Click "Edit PIN" 4. You will then be prompted to type in the new PIN number, and confirm the new PIN number. 5. Click "Save" and this will now be updated Should you wish to change PIN numbers in bulk (if you are the fleet manager of a large number of fuel cards) - You are able to do this through uploading the changes to BP Plus Online via the "Bulk Update" spreadsheet.
How do I change a card's PIN number at a BP site?
You can also change the PIN number at any BP location that has an EFTPOS terminal. To change your PIN simply: 1. Visit a BP site with a EFTPOS terminal and request to change your PIN 2. The service station attendant will ask you to enter your existing PIN number 3. You will then be prompted to enter your new 4 digit PIN number 4. This new PIN number will need to be confirmed a second time 5. Your new personalised PIN number will be ready to use. All BP Plus cards are encrypted to bank standards and selecting your own PIN will not change that.
How do I order a BP Plus card?
The new BP Plus Online makes ordering a card simply and easy. 1. Click "Order New Card" under the "Quick Links" listing on the right hand side of the "Home" menu. 2. You will then be taken to the "Card & Driver Details" screen to customise your fuel card. This section is mandatory, and will give you the chance to input all card details, and any relevant purchase controls and restrictions on the card. 3. Then you can select whether you would like the option of receiving any exception reports based on transaction value and litres purchased. 4. There is also the option of selecting a different address for the card to be delivered to (the default address will be the address on the account). This feature allows customers with multiple locations to enjoy faster card delivery. How do I cancel a BP Plus card?
If you wish to cancel a BP Plus card, the easiest way to do this is to log into BP Plus Online and change the card status to "Cancelled". 1. Click on "Change Card Status" under the "Quick Links" listing on the right hand side of the "Home" menu. 2. Click on the Card Number of the card that is required to have its status changed 3. Then click "Cancel / Change Status" 4. In the "New Card Status" field, select to "Deleted" 5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page. This will ensure that the update is made. How do I update my details?
The easiest way to update your contact details is through BP Plus Online. 1. Click on the "Account" tab and select "Account/Customer Maintenance" 2. Make the changes desired to your contact details 3.
