BP participated in the Fifth International Exhibition "Caspian: Technology for Environment"

BP participated in the fifth International Exhibition and Conference on the theme: " Caspian: Technology for Environment"

The Exhibition opened in Baku Expo Centre on 19 November and lasted for three days. It was supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and brought together 76 companies from 11 countries including Azerbaijan, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, and United Kingdom. 

During an opening session, Mr Huseyngulu Bagirov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited BP stand and got acquainted with the latest technologies applied by BP to reduce the impact of its operations in the Caspian and minimize environmental impact of the  long-term oil and gas development in Azerbaijan.  

 BP’s Environmental team representatives shared the company’s up-to-date achievements in the Environmental Management System of its operations and provided sessions for the visitors on different themes including the "Environmental ambient and operations monitoring, "Environmental and socio-economic sensitivity mapping project, "Updated oil spill response plans  for offshore, Sangachal terminal and export pipelines".
