1957

Start of the Castrol Operations in Brazil

 

1970-1980

Work in the E&P sector through risk contracts

 

1999

Exploratory campaign in the Foz do Amazonas Basin (Until 2005).

 

2002

Start of Air BP activities in Brazil.

 

2008

BP becomes the first international oil and gas company to invest in Brazilian ethanol.

 

2011

Establishment of BP Energy do Brasil with 10 concession contracts. First BP Energy exploratory campaign (up to the end of 2013).  Acquisition of 100% of the Tropical Unit as well as the Itumbiara and Ituiutaba Units, for the production of ethanol from sugarcane.

 

2013

Acquisition of eight blocks in the 11th Bid Round Creation of NFX, a joint venture between BP and Prumo Logística for the sale of maritime fuels.

 

2015

Approval of the partnership with Petrobras in 5 blocks in the Potiguar Basin, two in Barreirinhas and two in Ceará.

 

2016

Beginning of operations at NFX Maritime Terminal.

 

2017

BP Biofuels joins Copersucar in a joint venture to operate the Fuel Terminal located in Paulínia (SP).

 

2017/18 

Acquisition of three blocks of the 3rd and 4th rounds of presalt production sharing and two blocks of the 15th round of concession agreements.
