At bp, safety is our number 1 priority. That why we have been taking steps to ensure that in all our company owned stores across the UK we are ensuring the correct safety regulations are in place.
We also acknowledge that a large part of our forecourt network is made up of bp branded independent forecourts. Where this is the case, we are working hard to give guidance & support on safety regulations, in line with the latest public health guidelines.

Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19 we are currently experiencing more disruptions than usual at our sites. We are working hard to ensure that all facilities are up & running as normal, in line with health & safety guidelines and the guidance from our government. If you are concerned about opening times, or a specific facility, we recommend that you ring ahead to confirm with the site in question. You can find details on how to contact our sites via our site locator. Thank you to all our customers for their continued understanding & patience. Thank you also to our frontline staff, who are working tirelessly behind the scenes.
Over the coming weeks there may be several temporary site closures. This encompasses, but is not limited to, the below reasons. Where possible we have tried to limit temporary closure to off-peak hours.
· Health & safety on site
· Staffing requirements
· Temporary instillation of protective screens
· Temporary closure to facilitate safe delivery of goods
The toilets at the majority of bp sites are open to customers as usual. However, some sites may need to close their toilets unexpectedly from time to time during the current COVID-19 situation. This encompasses, but is not limited to
· WBC closure
· Store closure due to temporary instillation of protective equipment
· Temporary site closure to facilitate safe delivery of goods
We will endeavour to open any facilities closed as soon as possible. The health and safety of our staff, visitors and customers is important to us and we’re very sorry if this has affected you.
Due to the rapidly evolving situation we are constantly reviewing our opening hours and site operating procedures in line with local public health authority guidance. This means that some of our opening hours may change from time to time. If you believe this may cause an issue to your journey, we recommend calling ahead to confirm on a store by store basis.
We are working to minimise contact between our customers and employees and following Public Health England guidelines. At this stage we are trying to keep our stores open as they are providing an essential service to our communities but we may have to move to using night pay facilities only at some point in the future. Please keep a look out for further information.
