The Tangguh Technician Apprentice Program is a designed to train its participants into skilled technicians who are ready to work at BP or other oil and gas projects. Various competencies are taught in this intensive three-year program, such as physics, maths, chemistry, English, oil & gas production, mechanical, instruments, electricity, work safety and a few others. The program is aimed for indigenous Papuans living in Papua Barat with minimum high school graduate and maximum D4 graduate whose age falls within the range of 16 to 30 years old. 75 participants from the first two batches are currently attending an intensive program at Petrotekno in Ciloto, West Java. This program is a reflection of Tangguh LNG's commitment to the development of local Papuan workforce to meet the 85% Papuan workforce by 2029. With this program, Tangguh created a platform to prepare local talent for a better Papua Barat.
