COVID-19 has escalated into an unprecedented worldwide crisis in just a few weeks. This situation has turned everything we have known about life and work on its head. We are all extremely focused at present on how to best protect and support our families, employees, customers, and communities in the face of this extraordinary situation. Our thoughts are constantly with those who are battling the disease as well as it’s fallout.
It is so heartening to see the collective leadership of India is mobilizing all available resources and making tough decisions, alongside compassionate ones for those whose very livelihoods have been affected by the ongoing crisis.
Everywhere we look we see people who provide us with essential services and whose jobs take them outdoors so that we can stay in. We see people doing what they have to do. We also see people doing what they don’t need to do, but want to do, because they know other people need help. We are grateful.
At bp, we are mobilising in our own way, acting with three clear objectives: protecting our people; supporting the communities where we live and work; and protecting our business.
