On April 8, Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, made his first visit to the onland terminal at Gadimoga, Andhra Pradesh and was received by Sashi Mukundan, RP-HoC, India, BP Group and PMS Prasad, Exec. Director, RIL. After a tour of the facilities and the control room, the Minister interacted with the Operations team at the Terminal and reviewed the upcoming projects at KG D6 that will raise production to ~35mmscmd by 2022. Minister was visibly impressed and remarked “World class facility over here. I am convinced that KG basin and east coast of India will be the energy hub of India. My compliments to RIL & BP Team”. This visit gives an impetus to the exciting work going on in KG D6 for new field developments as well as highlighted the fact that the next wave of development of natural gas for the country will be from the east coast.
