BP Trinidad and Tobago Confirms Organizational Changes

BP Trinidad and Tobago confirms that its organizational changes have resulted in a 10% decrease in headcount at the company, out of a total workforce of approximately 1000.

These changes are aligned with the BP Group’s global simplification and efficiency programme announced in 2014. Details of the organizational changes were shared directly with employees and also with relevant authorities in line with all BP values. 

“Safety remains our number one priority. All these organizational changes were carefully considered to ensure the safety of our personnel and operations will not be compromised,” said bpTT President Norman Christie. “We remain strongly committed to running safe and reliable operations in Trinidad and Tobago and will continue to invest in our people and our operations.” 
The organizational changes being made at bpTT affect mainly support/ office-based staff. 

BPTT will continue to monitor the environment and plans to move forward with approved major projects already underway in Trinidad.
