Role Synopsis

This role is for graduate entering lubricants GSC team in bp. This aims to give the graduate a thorough and rounded experience working with procurement and supply chain management teams. The graduate will also gain a thorough knowledge of testing methods on product samples in accordance with industry standards.

 

From early in your career, you'll have the opportunity to see many different aspects of our business. You will be assigned to involve different operating teams in MFG plant and other functions. You will also be involved in the critical supply chain projects which drive the business growth. 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree on EHS, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related subjects.

Assistant Key Account Manager - Indirect Sales

Role Synopsis

To manage local distributor partners and intermediaries / resellers in the sales territory or geography. The role is accountable for delivery of the indirect sales strategy and is responsible for delivery of financial performance targets including Sales Volume, Gross Margin and Overdue. The role is also responsible for finding prospect partners, coaching distributors and monitoring their financial position to ensure long term sustainable value for the company.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement country PCO IWS indirect business strategy within territory by translating it into clear business plans.
  • Deliver financial performance targets for territory including Volume, GM and Overdue.
  • Influence, coach and motivate sales teams of distributor partners targeting standardized execution of customer offers and programs.
  • Input and influence people resources allocations of the distributors to ensure strategic priorities are fulfilled within the territory.
  • Develop, agree (both internally and externally) and implement the annual business plan with the Distributor / Channel partner, providing permanent support in all areas of its contents, and in particular regarding:
    • sales performance including forecasting and reporting with timely interventions
    • sales capability (skills and knowledge)
    • customer offer deployment, coverage and satisfaction
    • financial Return on Investment and cash flow performance
    • brand representation and compliance
    • HSSE and Ethical compliance
  • Collect results from the execution of the offers by distributor teams within territory, analyses against the planning, and run (min) quarterly reviews in order to undertake corrective actions if necessary.
  • Share field findings and experience at team level, extracting comparable information.
  • Develop and implement a systematic approach through the embedding of relevant OMS elements and ensuring appropriate risk reviews are undertaken appropriately.
  • Improve and deliver customer experience in targeted sectors and customer groups. Ensure delivery of our promises by seeking continuous improvement and efficiency in all operations making sure the voice of the customer is represented in every decision we make. Drive standardization of our sales offers in line with our basic customer offer.
  • Ensure that all activities conducted through 3rd parties or intermediaries in country comply fully with our own Code of Conduct and local competition legalization. Ensure compliance with country regulations, BP Group, Segment and regional policies and standards (e.g. Picasso).

Role Synopsis

Assist Industry Team to develop and maintain key account and coordinate the industry regional activities and issues. A contact point for key account customer to meet their specific needs and provide valuable offer.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver related HSSE performance targets including SVAR, LOPC, DAFWC, RIF and ensure safety is the number one priority for our people and all of our activities.
  • Planning: develop and implement in year biz plan for key account based on China's strategy. Also develop the annual execution plan in developing the specific industry key account.
  • Implement effective program by leveraging internal partners and external partners.
  • Cross-region Coordination: coordinate the activities in developing and managing the key account.
  • Tracking: Track the KPIs of key account and enhance the execution of the contract and delivery of the offer by relevant parties (incl. bp, the distributor and customer).
  • Deliver simple and standard processes in line with "Working the Castrol Way Document" for cross-region

Graduate Chemist

Role Synopsis

The Graduate Chemist (or Graduate Engineer) will work in the Castrol China Technology Centre (CCTC) which provides Technology Deployment for Industrial and Automotive businesses in addition to Product Development for car engine oils and driveline fluids for the Asia and Pacific region. CCTC is one of many technology centres that are a part of the global function, Formulated Products Technology which provides lubricants solutions and support for the Global Castrol Lubricants business. 


Over the three years training period the Graduate will complete two different placements in Technology Deployment for Industrial and Automotive businesses and Product Development of Automotive lubricants. At the end of a successful training period the Graduate will be placed in a permanent role in one of the teams as determined by business requirements.  


The Graduate will follow a structured training program which includes a mixture of training courses (online, face to face, internal and external) and on the job training. The Graduate will work with formulators, engineers, advisors, statisticians and marketing specialists and will gain a good knowledge of lubricants technology, application hardware, customer technical support, product development and project management.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and meet bp's Code of Conduct.
  • Conduct laboratory work to prepare Industrial or Automotive samples for analysis and performance tests. 
  • Schedule and manage analytical and performance testing of samples, and matrices of samples.  Record, analyse and interpret test data, modify formulations or test plans through discussion with senior team members. 
  • Run small scale laboratory tests using Standard Operating Procedures to assess performance of products. 
  • Provide technical support (with guidance) for Automotive and Industrial customers.
  • Plan, manage and execute projects with internal and external partners (such as testing facilities, consulting engineers, automotive manufacturers, customers and suppliers) with guidance. 
  • Communicate with internal and external testing facilities, raw material suppliers, functions in other parts of the business (such as marketing, supply chain and sales) and project partners. 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on projects to internal partners.

 

Requirements   

  • Master degree or above on Chemistry, Engineering, Material Science or related subjects.
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Good command of English and Chinese languages.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and manage projects.

To build up the high-level relationships with the assigned OEM HQ, influence the national sales companies and dealer groups to make sure the global deals flow through to positively.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  •  Assist KAM in formulating specific strategies and tactical action plans to develop long-term sustainable & profitable business with targeted accounts. To coordinate the Sales Marketing activities in FWS channel to ensure that the strategy is closely followed and effectively implemented by the sales team.
  • Build up the win-win relationship with the assigned OEM accounts, to influence FWS to choose Castrol as the exclusive lubes supplier. Owner of relationship with key OEM regional management network.
  • Help KAM to coordinate the nation-wide approach to the highly important dealer group network and work closely with the responsible sales teams.
  • Fully utilize all available internal & outside resources and support functions to secure new business and ensure targeted accounts receive professional service & marketing support to strengthen partnership & maximize sales with targeted OEM accounts.
