Paralympic partnerships

Helping to advance the Paralympic movement for over 13 years
Poster with photo montage. Text reads: ‘Proud to support Para athletes’

We began our association with Paralympic sport in 2008, when we became a partner of the London 2012 Games. Since then we have supported a number of high-profile para-sporting events, such as the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships, the Berlin 2018 World Para Athletics Europeans Championships and most recently the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships.

We have also supported dual-format events, where para-sports has been integrated into the competition schedule of able-bodied sports, including the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Baku 2015 European Games and most recently the 2018 Anniversary Games at the London Stadium.

We are an international partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). In addition, we support a number of national Paralympic teams in Angola, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Germany, Georgia, Indonesia, Senegal, Mexico, Singapore and the UK.

We also proudly support some of the world’s best athletes.

We believe the human spirit is the most powerful energy of all.

The courage to achieve what matters most and be the very best you can be. It’s what drives Ammar Ali and all Paralympic athletes to go further and overcome every challenge in their path.

When the world’s best athletes compete on the international stage, many will discover an energy within that they didn’t know they possessed. The energy within is also what drives bp to keep searching for newer, better, safer ways to provide the energy that the world needs.Duncan Blake, director of brand, bp
