BP on behalf of its co-venturers in major oil and gas contracts in Azerbaijan has recently announced in Baku the 2009 Azerbaijan Oil and Gas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme. This programme will provide scholarships for qualified Azerbaijani citizens for four year of Bachelor degree Studies in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Geological, Mining, Civil, Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Middle East Technical, Istanbul Technical, and Bosporus Universities in Turkey.
The programme has been operated by BP on behalf of its co-venturers since 2003 and as part of it about 50 Azerbaijanis have been sent to oil and gas undergraduate studies at reputable international universities to date.
The programme is open for citizens of Azerbaijan who have already got admissions to one of the above-mentioned Universities in Turkey. More information about submission and selection process can be found at: www.bp.com/caspian/careers
