Jonty Shepard, COO LNG collected this prestigious accolade at the CWC 18th Annual World LNG Summit & Awards Evening in Lisbon.

BP has been recognised for its role in an industry leading collaborative effort, working with the Area 4 partners, in a project led by ENI on the Coral South Floating LNG facility. At the end of 2016, BP’s supply and trading business signed an agreement to purchase 100% of the LNG produced by this facility, to be located offshore Mozambique.

Commenting on the award, Jonty shared “I am very proud to be receiving this award which for me is the foremost recognition in our industry.  This is an important deal for BP as we seek to implement our strategic shift to gas and build a combined Equity and Merchant LNG portfolio”.

This annual award provides industry recognition for a company from the LNG value chain that has excelled in the previous 12 months and has made a positive commercial or technical contribution to the LNG business, via innovation, activities or knowledge.
