BP GM of Retail and Assets Adrian McClellan says the new site recognises the tremendous growth in Mosgiel.
“We’re excited to add this site to our rapidly growing network and provide an improved offer to locals and show BP’s long term commitment to the area.
“We know our customers have a choice, so our objective is to make our offer better than the rest, including themost convenient locations possible, so they have even more reasons to choose BP," Mr McClellan said.
The upgraded site means locals will benefit from the best BP has to offer. “There will be four choices of fuel –unleaded 91, unleaded 95, Ultimate 98 and Ultimate Diesel. Locals will also benefit from a full convenience offer, brand new store layout, the latest in carwash technology, and the award-winning Wild Bean Cafe,” Mr McClellan confirmed.
The sites will also feature widened lanes for easier in-out access, storefront parking, free WIFI, phone charging stations and comfortable seating.
To ensure the store runs as efficiently as possible, BP uses energy efficient LED lighting, recycled heat from refrigeration systems for water heating, recycled water for its carwash and collects re-usable rainwater from the rooftop.
Mr McClellan says “the contribution to the local community goes beyond just building a new store. BP is proud tobe part of the local community and employ local contractors and teams, with each site generating up to 20 new jobs.
We’re also proud to be celebrating our 50 year partnership with Surf Life Saving New Zealand and 25 year partnership with the Young Enterprise Trust this year. These are organisations I’m sure many locals have been involved with and understand the important role they play in the community.”
The construction works are expected to start in mid-April with the brand new store due to open to customers in mid-July.
