Norway Regulation Change: Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Release date:
March 2020
Norway Regulation Change: Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Did you know that as of 1 January 2020, regulatory changes came into effect, mandating that 0.5% of Jet A-1 sold in Norway must be sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)

The increased use of SAF will contribute to Norway reaching its climate targets. The increased cost associated with the delivery of SAF will appear as a line item of 79 NOK/COM on all Norwegian location invoices. Customers will not need to make any operational changes. SAF is a ‘drop-in’ fuel and can then be handled in existing infrastructure and used in existing jet engines without requiring any modifications.
