Stockholm Arlanda welcomes SAF delivery
As part of our commitment to increase the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) across our global network, we’re delighted to have delivered 210 tonnes of SAF to Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN/ ESSA) in Sweden.

Owned and operated by Swedavia, Stockholm Arlanda along with its partners, procured the SAF as part of an initiative to reduce carbon emissions from air travel. The SAF delivered will result in a reduction in the carbon emissions generated by the business’ corporate air travel.

This latest SAF delivery follows the supply of SAF to five airports in the Swedavia portfolio in June 2019. As well as Stockholm Arlanda these included Åre Östersund, Malmö, Göteborg Landvetter and Umeå airports. The delivery also builds on our supply agreement with Neste, one of the world’s leading producers of renewable fuels from wastes and residues.

With both Air bp and Swedavia committed to creating a sustainable aviation industry, Martin Thomsen, CEO Air bp commented that,

“Through collaborations such as this, we are once again demonstrating what can be achieved when we all work together towards a lower carbon industry.”
