The picturesque city of Poitiers is home to more than 80 listed buildings and one of the oldest churches in Europe. Wander along the narrow streets lined with tall half-timbered buildings to discover a myriad of cafés, restaurants, bars and shops. But it’s not just the old world charm that makes Poitiers so appealing. It’s also home to contemporary art galleries, museums and boutiques as well as the futuristic hi-tech theme park Futuroscope.
Poitiers-Biard Airport is a short 10-minute drive from the city centre. It is open 24 hours except Saturday and Sunday evenings, when permission to take off and land at the airport is required in advance. The airport has three runways: one main runway and two grass tracks and recently welcomed the Pilatus PC-24 which is certified for landings and take-offs on grass.
