Role Purpose

Responsible for the management and administration of bp’s employee benefit programs in Americas region, including retirement and insurance plans. Responsible for assisting employees with benefit inquiries, processing enrollments and changes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coach & Mentor a dedicated team of benefit specialists (Americas).
  • Manage & ensure efficiency in the administration of Americas employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Oversee Americas enrolment process for new hires and manage ongoing changes for existing employees.
  • Own and drive standard operating procedures for all Americas benefit elements, including continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing benefits administration within Americas region.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of Americas benefits programs, plan documents, and communications to identify and address compliance gaps.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly and make recommendations for improvements or changes as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to employees in understanding their benefit options and making informed decisions.
  • Support implementation of new Americas benefits programs or changes to existing programs
  • Provide training to Americas benefits team members, helping them develop their knowledge and skills in benefits administration and compliance.
  • Support development and deployment of Americas BAU benefits communications project plans

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related P&C function.

Technical

  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, in Americas region, including health insurance retirement plans & voluntary benefits.
  • Familiarity with HRIS or benefits administration software.
  • Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English
