Slovakia: Your gateway to efficiency
Slovakia has recently become the fifteenth country to join the bp Tollbox for EETS network. For fleet managers, there’s only one OBU fee, one installation, one portal and one invoice to worry about. For drivers, there’s none of the hassle of dealing with multiple OBUs and different boxes on the road. Instead, they benefit from seamless driving across Europe, simple toll payments and free space on the windshield.
Regulation changes in Germany
From 1 July 2024, anyone travelling across Germany in a vehicle weighing 3.5 tonnes or above will have to pay toll charges. This includes vans, small trucks and buses that may never have had to pay tolls before.
Use the CO₂ class calculator
For the CO₂ surcharges in Germany, there will be five classes and, as a default, every vehicle will be put in Class 1,the most expensive band. The good news is, if your vehicle was registered after June 2019, you can apply for a class reduction by providing the necessary evidence through the bp customer portal. Use the CO₂ class calculator here to work out which class your vehicles are in.
