- May bp presents a decarbonization master plan for Azerbaijan
- June bp signes an Implementation Agreement on cooperation in the evaluation and implementation of a project to build a 240MW solar power plant in the Zangilan/Jabrayil regions of Azerbaijan
- June bp signes a cooperation agreement with SOCAR to work together to identify and evaluate the potential for joint development of technically and financially feasible low carbon energy projects in Azerbaijan

- May bp and SOCAR signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly explore potential prospects in block D230 in the North Absheron Basin in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea
- May The subsea construction vessel "Khankendi” was re-floated into the Caspian Sea at the Baku Shipyard quay

- February - Central Azeri celebrated its 10-year anniversary

2014
- January - Production at West Chirag started from one of the pre-drilled wells and this completed the Chirag oil project
- April - Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan celebrated the loading of 2,500th tanker at the Ceyhan terminal
- June - Wiith host governments, partners and other stakeholders, we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the ‘Contract of the Century’ and held a ground-breaking ceremony for the Southern Gas Corridor
- December - bp and SOCAR signed a PSA on the joint exploration and development of potential prospects in the shallow water area around the Absheron peninsula
2013
- June - Shah Deniz consortium announced selection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) as a transportation route to Europe.
- September - Shah Deniz consortium concluded 25-year gas sales agreements with European buyers
- September - The topsides for the West Chirag platform were safely installed offshore onto the jacket
- December - Final investment decision for the Stage 2 development of the Shah Deniz was announced
- December - Five-year extension from 2031 to 2036 to the Shah Deniz PSA signed

- January - Shafag-Asiman completed the first 3D seismic survey
- May - ACG celebrated 2 billionth barrel of oil produced since first oil
- October - BTC celebrated the loading of 2,000th tanker at Ceyhan

- May - New PSA for the Shafag-Asiman structure ratified by the Azerbaijani Parliament
- October - Shah Deniz gas sales and transit agreements signed in Turkey
2010
- March - $6 billion investment sanctioned for the Chirag oil project
- September - One billionth barrel of crude oil carried successfully through BTC pipeline
- October - PSA signed with SOCAR to explore and develop the Shafag-Asiman structure
2009
- March - BTC capacity expanded to 1.2 million barrels per day
2008
- April - First oil produced at Deepwater Gunashli
2007
- March - BTC 1 million barrels per day capacity achieved
- July - First gas delivered from Shah Deniz to Turkey
- November - Large gas-condensate discovery made at Shah Deniz following drilling to a Caspian-record depth of more than 7,300 metres
2006
- May - First gas flowed into the SCP
- June - First tanker filled with Caspian oil at Ceyhan marine terminal
- July - Inauguration of Turkish section of the BTC pipeline, Ceyhan terminal and the BTC pipeline export system
- November - First profit oil produced at East Azeri
- December - First gas produced from Shah Deniz Stage 1
