Vanellus DD 40 is recommended for general use when ambient temperatures are above 0°C. It is also suitable for a large variety of 4-stroke diesel engines and it can be used in certain 4-stroke petrol engines.
Vanellus DD 50 has been specifically formulated for use in Detroit Diesel 149 engines above ambient temperatures of 35°C. It is also recommended for use in all Detroit 2-stroke engines in continuous high temperature operation (over 94°C Coolant Out). Vanellus DD 50 should not be used in ambient temperatures below 10°C.

Vanellus Multi-Fleet Plus 15W-40 provides high levels of protection in the majority of American, European and Japanese heavy-duty diesel engines due to its strong API CI-4 Plus and ACEA E7 performance.
It isn't suitable for use in engines with diesel particulate filters or diffusers. Vanellus Multi-Fleet Plus 15W-40 is not recommended for petrol engines equipped with catalytic converters.
