Our Sterling Card Manager – General Aviation, Air BP France. Although she has worked for the BP Group for the past 11 years, Annick is new to the Air BP team – she only started in March 2018 – so we thought we would get to know her a little better!
Annick, what are your first impressions of Air BP?
I was not expecting to enter a world where everyone was truly passionate about aviation. I am amazed by the industry knowledge and experience across both our team and our client base. The people at Air BP are so open and positive, and this dynamic creates the perfect working environment. I think that is why we look forward to coming into the office every day.
Describe a typical day for you.
My job involves lots of meetings with clients, so I travel a lot within France. I can’t really describe a typical day as I am always doing something different – this is one of the things I enjoy most about my new role.
What are the biggest challenges for the aviation industry in France?
In France in particular, the market is expanding and the competition is growing, which is why we are currently focused on enhancing our competitive edge.
What are Air BP’s strengths in France?
I think Air BP has a good reputation in France in terms of safety and operational performance as well as the quality of its products. People have confidence in our brand because it has been around since 1926 and has managed to consistently maintain very high standards since then. Our offering is also very much about customer service – we develop and sustain strong relationships with our clients and partners. We listen to them, take their needs into account and help them grow. I think that is our biggest strength.
Anything new or exciting coming in 2018?
Everything is still new to me, but it looks like my agenda is already full for 2018! There are plenty of activities that are going to be exciting, like making sure everything at Cannes Airport runs smoothly during the Monaco Grand Prix from 24-27 May. I am looking forward to being part of some amazing experiences.
The Red Bull Air Race came to Cannes in April. How did the local team prepare for the race?
The Red Bull Air Race is truly a special event for Air BP and I was honoured to be a part of it last week. Meeting our customers and experiencing such a memorable event with them was a great way to begin building relationships. It is an event the whole team is enthusiastic about, so we had a great time preparing for it.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love spending time with my family. We enjoy doing DIY together, travelling and going to the movies.
