Red Bull Air Race sets pulses racing in Indianapolis

This month sees the return of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship to Indianapolis in the US from 6-7 October, for the penultimate race of the season.

The city is home to the world’s first purpose-built Motor Speedway, above which pilots will compete on an aerial racetrack designed to push them to their limits.

Indianapolis is the penultimate stop in the 2018 calendar before the season finale in Texas and the Motor Speedway is easily accessed from Indianapolis International Airport (IND/ KIND).

Situated less than 20 minutes from the racetrack and around 15 minutes from the city centre, our location at IND/KIND operated by Signature Flight Support offers a dedicated general aviation service and is open 24 hours. Jet A, Jet-FSII and JP-8 are all available and there is a range of facilities you can make use of at the airport, including a pilot lounge and snooze room.
